About the Exhibition:
The relationship between painting and architecture is an extensive and long-standing problem. In this relationship between both disciplines, the materiality of the "constructive components" their history and processes is taken as a common point. This has been a central problem in the recent artistic work by Oscar Abraham Pabón.
Using materials that are used in the construction of houses - especially in Latin American cities - Pabón recycles and reuses this material: the clay brick (terracotta), giving it a second interpretation. Understanding the ceramic process of the material, enamel is applied for a second firing, obtaining a color plane that is interrelated with the support process (clay). Thus, resulting in ceramic pieces that speak of an old project of urbanism and modern architecture but seen from present.
The pieces presented as "Inside problems" and "Corner Problem" are installations implies a route and a duration. The confluence of two planes at different scales configure architectural and pictorial concerns in the same work.
